Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I enjoy tutoring as it gives me the opportunity to make a difference in the life of a student as well as the student's family. Using the strategies I have developed over years of training, I have been able to effectively support individual students in achieving their educational goals.
Why should a student pick you?
- I have 20 years experience as a teacher at all grade levels including pre-school through adult. Much of my training has been in Special Education and ESL, however, I am very comfortable tutoring all subject areas for grades K - 8. I also have extensive training in teaching all aspects of Literacy - Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. I enjoy teaching Writing, Test-Taking Skills, and Test Preparation for High School students as well as Adults.
Personal Statement:
- I believe I have a great deal of expertise to offer students of all ages,as well as their parents. I am responsible and punctual. I understand how important a schedule is to parents and strive to keep it. I firmly believe that getting a good education is of paramount importance for all children and the extra support that I provide through tutoring is a way of ensuring this happens.
