Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I have 6 years of experience working with children and young adults. Broken down consists of 3 years in chld care and baby sitting for guests in the Strip Hotels and I have 2 folders full of love notes from the children; also I taught as a subsitute Teacher in the Clark County School District preK to grade 3. I have one on one teaching experience with Special Needs children of whom I thoroughly enjoy teaching. I find it rewarding to accomplish a sense of awareness on the importance of a good foundation for life for the students. America needs it.
Why should a student pick you?
- I have a personal friendly interest in the student and awareness of importance to learn. I allow the student to participate in the lesson verbally and ask questions. I personalize and focus on the child's present experience and learning. It is important to work with the child as a person and learn to know them as an individual.
I have studied child developmenbt and the cognitive phases which is important to know as a teacher in order to know at what level the child needs.
