Personal Statement:
- I recently graduated from UNLV with a degree in electrical engineering and a minor in mathematics. I am currently working in my field, but hope to pursue an MBA and an MSEE in the near future. I can also tutor electrical engineering subjects if needed.

- Derek has been great tutor for our son - for Pre-calculus. He has a gift for relating to teenagers. He does not talk 'at a student' nor does he have anything to prove. He can teach a variety of ways to get the student to understand. He walks through each step. He is laid back. He is timely and conscientious. He know Pre-Calculus and will work through a problem as often as needbe. Our son no longer cringes when the tutor is coming over. He appreciates his help, which is a shocker for teenagers. I am so pleased that I almost did not want to send this review -- don't want everyone else to use Derek until our son is done with Calculus next year.

- Great tutor! Derek was excellent, flexible, and knowledgeable about the subjects he offered. He related well to my 16 year old son and worked to guide him through assigned problems without doing the work for him. - Great tutor! Yes my son thinks a lot of Derek he has helped him a lot. My son dose not talk to a lot of people but I notice that he talks a lot with him and even laughs with Derek, so I think Derek has done a very good job.Also he knows math like the back of his hand. My understanding is that every body has trouble with the math part of the ASVAB test my son (Antonio)feels more confident with the math part of the ASVAB now that Derek has been his tutor...
